What to Expect from the Montecielo Commercial & Eco-Resort Complex

Montecielo is the part of the project that turns a monument into a destination you stay overnight for. The eco-resort occupies the upper terraces, with rooms oriented to the water and a spa and infinity pool set on the cliff edge above the arrival plaza.
The arrival experience
Cars and buses stop at the lower plaza; from there everything is pedestrian. The commercial spine handles food, crafts and tour desks, and once the cable car opens in late 2027 the same plaza becomes the boarding point for the crossing.
- 76 commercial locales across three terraced levels
- Eco-resort rooms and suites facing the reservoir
- Cliffside spa and infinity pool
- Heliport for VIP arrivals, 15 minutes from Medellín
Opening sequence
The mall and resort target January 2027. The cable car follows in December 2027. Full assembly of the 86-meter figure is scheduled for 2029–2030, which means the complex will operate for years while the sculpture is completed above it.
Watching the statue rise is, for the next few years, part of the visit.
